
Mark Guy
Mark Randall Guy is the second of three sons born to Roy E. and Peggy J. Guy. Mark’s Dad, Roy, has served the church as both a Deacon and an Elder for many years. Mark’s mother, Peggy, is a regular Sunday School teacher.
Mark’s older brother, Steven K. Guy, is the minister of the church of Christ in Myrtle Beach, S.C. His wife Cynthia D. Guy is the author of “What About The Women?” and “Struggle-Seek-Grow” (Gospel Advocate). Mark’s younger brother, Michael D. Guy, ministers for the Lillimae church of Christ in Ashland City, TN.
Mark is married to the former Naomi Biffle of Alton, MO. She is a fully credentialed School Teacher, [K-6]. Their daughter, Mrs. Michelle Abshear of West Carrollton, OH., is also a School Teacher with a Masters in Educ. from Harding University. Mark and Naomi have one grandson, Alexander Randall Abshear, age 8.
Mark has two nephews who also preach, Nathan Guy, who is a Bible Professor at Harding University, Searcy, Arkansas, and Jordan Guy who preaches for the church of Christ in Nicholasville, Kentucky. His brother-in-law Steve Biffle is the Associate Minister at Magnolia Center church of Christ, Riverside, CA.
Mark is a graduate of San Clemente (CA.) High School. He received an A.A. degree from College of the Canyons, Valencia, (CA). His B.A. in Bible is from Harding University, Searcy, AR., as is his M.S. in Education.
Mark’s first ministerial experience was as a Youth Minister from 1980- 1985 in Daytona and Orlando, Florida. He has served as a Pulpit Minister since 1985 in both Arkansas, and California.
Mark has spoken at both the Harding Lectureships and the Freed-Hardeman Lectureships. He is the co-creator of the “Spiritual Growth Workshop” in Orlando FL. He has produced four Bible Video series for Teens. He has spoken on the radio in two states over K-LIFE FM. Mark considers himself a writer who preaches and has written numerous Religious articles for the local newspaper, and Brotherhood magazines. He has also worked as a substitute teacher [all grades]. His hobbies and interests include Old Movies, Fishing, and Traveling.
Mark joined the work as the Pulpit Minister for The Lassen Street church of Christ in August of 2011.
