 BE AWARE
Key Issues: Abortion, Homosexuality

Before any change can take place, there must be a reason. This lesson brings into focus the reality of where
our current culture is in relation to that of the Founding Fathers. The culture our children are growing up in is
very different, and so is our nation. We, like the children of Israel in the book of Deuteronomy, are camped
just over the river from what could be a wonderful land of a God -fearing nation; however, we stand in need
of the same message that God delivered through His prophet Moses before we can come into that land.

 BE EQUIPPED
Key Issues: Strong Family Units (Current Trends of Divorce, Cohabitation, Dating), Political Correctness When it Comes to Sin, Integrity
If any goal will be achieved, we must understand where we need to be. Joe addresses what God would
have our culture to be in three crucial areas: family, calling sin what it is, and integrity.

 BE ALERT
Key Issues: Media ( Violence, Sexual Content, Lyrics in Songs Internet Dangers)

The Bible tells us we are fighting a battle for the hearts, souls, and minds of mankind. This battle is not a physicalconflict, but rather one of a spiritual nature. We are to be equipped to defend ourselves from the deadly
spears Satan throws at us. Lesson three deals in a very straight-forward manner, with the spear of the media.

 BE ENGAGED
Key Issue: Giving the Home back to God
When we know there is a problem and we do nothing about it, all the while expecting the problem to go
away or be solved, that’s called insanity. Every year we have young people who grow up in Christian
homes dying in this spiritual battle as over half of them leave the Lord when they graduate from high school.
Is this acceptable? No! Not to us, and certainly not to God. What can we do? Get engaged in the battle.
Return the home to God’s way and watch the blessings come pouring down.

About the Speaker :

Joe Wells’ primary goal in life is to serve God by striving to help people
connect with the truth of God’s Word, translating it into action. His Confronting Culture seminar outlines some of the biggest stumbling blocks faced by American teenagers (and their families). Joe wants Christian teens to have the weapons necessary to succeed and be the spiritual young people God expects them to be. He has a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a heart for sharing that Truth with teenagers and families. He has worked with young people as a youth minister and has spoken at many youth and conference events across the nation, including speaking the last two years at the Ignite Your Faith Teen Camp in Southern California and at the Tahoe Family Encampment.
Joe has also traveled extensively on mission trips and has served as a pulpit minister and education minister. He
holds a BS from Middle Tennessee State University and has done Master level work at Bear Valley Bible Institute. He holds a Masters of New Testament from Freed Hardeman University. Joe is in charge of Family and Youth Outreach for Focus Press and is Editor-in-chief of KAIO, The Christian Magazine for Teens. Joe and his wife Erin reside in Spring Hill, Tennessee and are the proud parents of three young children.

This is a must event for our young people who are forced to face today's culture!

Accomodation in Church Member's homes is available at no cost. Meals will be included.
